Now that we are a couple of weeks into the New Year, we have an opportunity to stop our Old Habits and begin new ones (Good Ones). Every year in the month of January I see an influx of people joining me at the gym, working to create that new habit. Then in February the crowd dwindles week by week. Will it be easy for anyone or even for me to stop or start a new/old habit, probably not, but what is when we need to make changes in our lives for the better?
The Bible tells us:
To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24
Open your heart to new habits that are beneficial, weed out the ones that destroy you. Love yourself enough, and love others enough to make the changes needed. Renew yourself as the Scripture stated, make that habit to be more like God. Healthy Habits create a Healthy you physically, mentally, and Spiritually.
